James Long 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

Designer James Long brings out the oil paints and knitting pins for his Spring/Summer 2011 Collection during London Fashion Week. Focusing on the knit trend which is big in menswear for next Spring, over sized silhouettes are complimented with cuffed shorts and rugged boots. Distressed sweaters with intricate cable knitting and large holes, leather biker vests with matching shorts were just a few of the standout looks on display. What sticks out the most in this collection is the designer’s sorbet color palette, which is a mixture of distorted paint splatters and psychedelic prints over garments. To give the collection some sanity, Long added solid jumpers in white and twin knit sets in navy.

Versace, the Italian fashion label is one of the world's leading international fashion houses and it is best known in unique clothing lines and luxurious designs. This time in the Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Menswear Collection, Donatella Versace comes out with a rock ’n’ roll yet futuristic line on men’s clothing. 






The Versace fashion label started taking shape in 1978 when designer and founder Gianni Versace opened his first fashion boutique in Milano. Their popularity kept growing so the label did too, until a very unfortunate incident happened and Gianni was killed. After that, his sister, Donatella took over Versace fashion house and she is now the artistic director. Also, to promote her advertising campaigns she used as models fashion icons like Madonna, Halle Berry, Milla Jovovich, Demi Moore or Christina Aguilera in the women’s category only.
